The Tiffs Mess

The Tiffs Mess is an area of the site reserved solely for the enjoyment of bona fide members of OCAAA. Access to this area and its content is by defined user name and password. This page provides stepping stones to several sub-pages, each with its own focus of interest; it is the place where readers can start turning back the years.  It’s also the place to get your hands on OCAAA merchandise.  Alas, we make no promises and cannot guarantee that a trip down this memory lane will not restore the youthful vigour and physical prowess of your years in HMS Caledonia. Recollection and reflection are the order of the day and the pages subordinate to this one offer many ways to bring back those memories - good and bad (!) - of days when beer was a lot less than £1 a pint and you could buy petrol at 5 gallons to the £1 (or even better), rather than today’s £6+ for a gallon.

The OCAAA Newsletter

Back issues of the Newsletter from the Autumn 2008 issue onwards are available in pdf format and will require an appropriate reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click on the image to the right to access the Newsletter archives.

The RNA Newsletter

OCAAA maintains a close link with the Royal Naval Association and participates in routine events and meetings. We are also priveleged to receive copies of their periodic newsletters and members may review RNA information by clicking on the image to the right.

The Movies

The OCAAA is indebted to our friends at the Imperial War Museum (IWM), who have graciously granted us access to copies of archive footage to upload to our web site for our members to stream and enjoy.  We hope to slowly add to our collection over time.  Please observe copyright courtesy and do not pirate copies of these movies. To view the library click on the image to the right and then select a movie and press the <Play> button to View. When your movie is running, you can <Right click> on the video control bar and then select Zoom/Full Screen to view in full screen mode.  To return to normal screen size just press the <Esc> key.
